About Community-service	English (USA)
The purpose of this list is to promote jointly the positive philosophy of the national federation of the blind, and the positive effects that community service/service learning has on self and country from the blind person's prospective. This List can also be utilized as a platform for the promotion and encouragement of community service/service on the local, state, and national levels of the national federation of the blind. Discussion topics can include personal experiences on service projects, alternative techniques for effectively performing tasks on the work site, and stradigies for appropriately educating    supervisors, co-workers and general public to the abilities of the blind in the service setting. Postings of service oppertunitys from organizations such as, AmeriCorps, PeaceCorps, habitat for humanity, the united way and other oppertunities that would be beneficial to individuals looking to get involved in community service. Announcements and accounts of service projects taken on by chapters, divisions, and affiliates are also welcome, as they function as positive examples of the national federation of the blind in the community service arena.
